Each day is unpredictable. I can go from doing this to that, going here and there as unplanned. I think a little random activity each day doesn't hurt anybody, in fact it makes life more fun-filled and exciting.

Spontaneity describes me.

It was a pleasure for me to be chosen to take part in this 3-day seminar last June 16-18- the Multi-Organ Transplant Simulation Program, which was conducted by the Department of Clinical Advancement at St.Luke’s Medical Center- Global City .The seminar focused mainly in the intra-operative aspect of Kidney and Liver Transplants. Majority of us are not OR nurses, but at least we had a glimpse of how it goes for the doctors, nurses and the organ donor and recipient inside the operating room.
It’s days like these that I get to see how truly blessed I’am to be a part of such world-class hospital. With all the healthcare updates, modern machinery and standards in nursing practice it is undeniable that you will really be trained and soon even become an expert in this profession. I’ve been with the institution for more than a year now, but I know I have more to improve before I can have that “expert” label. I’m looking forward for more of these learning opportunities to increase my knowledge and hone the skills needed in my chosen profession, while tightening the bond between me and my colleagues at the same time.
Despite all the stress, tears-after-a-tiring-duty kind of day, the pressure and all that, today I can say that “I’am proud and I love being a St.Luke’s nurse.”

My co-nurses and I are privileged of taking part in this Annual Convention and also a first International Convention for Nursing Administration at Manila Hotel as a chorale group. It was nice seeing and entering one of the famous hotels here in the Philippines. Its interiors are simple yet so elegant and still so Pinoy-ish in style.

It was a short but worthwhile opportunity for us to represent our hospital, St.Luke’s Medical Center, QC and showcase our talent in singing.
